Trimming Freeze damaged oak trees in Central texas

It's mid August and the temp was 108 today. But you know, 108 isn't so bad under the shade of a big oak tree. Especially if you've got a nice breeze blowing. We've been lucky to have the opportunity to work on some of the biggest and nicest oaks in central texas over the years. This year we've been seeing a lot of breaks in limbs that still has green leafs on it. You can't always see these breaks from the ground but once we get up in the tree we've been finding broken limbs often. Oak trees are extremely resilient and seem to be doing just fine in this heat and often they are able to heal themselves over time after a break. Sometimes it seems like a good idea to keep a broken limb so as to not leave a big hole in the canopy. But it's usually best to remove it and let new healthy growth fill it in. I know one thing. Having us take care of your oak trees is the best thing you can do for your trees and your neighborhood. When you look out the window and see sad trees with broken limbs hanging overgrown and messy, that can seem depressing. But imagine looking out your window and seeing some beautiful perfectly trimmed oak trees. No more dead wood or ball moss. Just clean flowing branches that act like a huge umbrella around your house and yard. So let Envision Landscapes & Tree Service be your antidepressant. Estimates are always free. Call or text today.
